Lease Access Update – Dustin Scott
The GRTU Lease Access Program will be open for enrollment on Thursday, October 1, 2020. If you are new to GRTU, the Lease Access Program (LAP), is a partnership with multiple private landowners to provide access to river. There will be between 16-18 access spots on the Guadalupe with limited parking and a pathway to the water.
In order to secure your lease, you will need to have a valid Trout Unlimited membership that runs through October 31st, 2021. If you joined TU this year please contact TU national at 1-800-834-2419 and make sure your membership spans through October 31, 2021.
There is a 2-3 week lag between TU national and GRTU’s membership database. So if your membership is about to expire, it is best to renew through GRTU during the Lease Access Program checkout. If you renew or signup with TU in September, it is likely that you will get an error when applying for the LAP.
Here is a brief summary of what to look forward to this new season.

We will notify everyone across our network that the LAP is open for enrollment on October 1st. Be sure to add our email address to your contact list to not miss out. Also, follow us on Instagram @Guadalupe_river_tu and Facebook @Guadalupe river trout unlimited to stay up to date. The LAP sold out in 6 days last year so if you’re looking to join, don’t hesitate!
I would personally like to thank our LAP members for their support of the chapter and the fishery. We are a completely voluntary organization, operating by the sheer passion that drives us all. Please remember to be good ambassadors of GRTU while on the river and share your love for the river whenever / wherever you can!
