Dear GRTU Members,
In the wake of the devastating floods this past July, our Guadalupe River community is still in recovery. Many of our neighbors, local businesses, and the river itself need support now more than ever.
With that in mind, GRTU has decided to reimagine Troutfest TX 26. Rather than hosting our traditional multi-day festival, we are focusing our time and energy on fundraising and community support for flood recovery, where our efforts are most urgently needed and where GRTU can make the most significant impact. Given this shift, we simply did not have the bandwidth or planning window typically required to deliver the kind of high-quality, engaging event our members, sponsors, exhibitors, donors, and community have come to expect.
To ensure we stay engaged and continue building momentum, we started with the Mend the River matching campaign in July, which raised over $75,000. We are committing to a series of special events leading into next spring:
- November 20, 2025 – Mend the River Benefit Night – YETI Flagship in Austin
- February 21, 2026 – Troutfest TX 26: Mend the River – Lazy L&L in New Braunfels
These gatherings will keep our community connected, provide vital fundraising opportunities, and allow us to honor the resilience of our river and those who depend on it.
Then, from February 19 to 21, 2027, the full Troutfest TX will return. With this additional lead time, we can deliver the kind of premier event—with the speakers, vendors, and experiences—that our supporters, sponsors, and members have come to expect.
This year, we mend the river; next year, we celebrate it.
