Since its inception in 2015, the GRTU Youth Trout Camp has served over 260 youth and parents across Texas. For many of them, trout camp was an introduction to our beloved river and the nation’s southernmost year-round trout fishery. Due to the continued support from GRTU membership trout camp continues to grow and improve from year to year. Trout Camp wouldn’t be possible without the support of GRTU and our team of volunteers (cooks, instructors, and GRTU board members) and partners. A special thanks to Gruene Outfitters, Living Waters Fly Fishing, Action Angler, Rio Anglers, Castell Guide Service, Reel Fly, Far Bank Enterprises, and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. These fine folks and their teams have contributed to the Youth Camp for many years and deserve special recognition. Additionally, our home Rio Guadalupe Resort provides first-class accommodations. GRTU also thanks the McBride Conservation Fund and GRTU members for camp donations. Your generosity has allowed us to offer a high-quality camp experience at a reasonable cost that is inclusive of kids from all backgrounds and communities.
